How the heck did we come up with this crazy idea for an online boggle type game!

So I feel that to start this blog, I should mention that I'm 49 and never played boggle until about 4 months ago. I don't know if that makes me a loser or a big loser! But, anyway, I have this nephew who was friends with this guy JB and I've known JB for years too and became friends by playing poker with him.

So, this one day around the beginning of June 2008, the three of us met for lunch and JB's talking about all these websites that he has, and how he can do almost anything. Now, I've owned my own business, which is a drycleaning chemical company, for more than ten years and marketing is my background, so after hearing about all of JB's websites which mostly seem to center around poker, (my favorite being his top ten women of poker site), I tell him I've been playing this game boggle. And I also mention that it is addicting! So, right there, JB and I sign a contract on a napkin at this chicken wing place and agree to start a word game site like boggle.

I can't remember if JB ever played boggle before then or not, or even knew what it was. But, he was about to find out fast!!! LOL

So that was the start of this crazy idea to start a free online boggle type of word game.

What a GREAT site wordrampage.com is! Mike thank you for telling us the story of how you and JB decided to do this!

For those out there that haven't tried wordrampage.com yet, do yourself a favor and give it a shot!

The site is new (2 weeks or so) but is great and Mike and JB are very good about making changes as suggestions flow in.

Come on over, tell your friends and let's play a great version of boggle! People that played tangleword will love it too!

Hi Mike,

I stumbled across your site by accident last night, but I was immediately addicted. I've always played alone or against the computer, but playing online against real folks that you can interact with is great fun.

The people I've played with over the past two days have all been very kind. (Hi leap, mlofrombc, crossed, and all the rest!) The other players congratulate you when you win and want to know a little about you as a person. It's a fun, friendly yet competitive little site, and I love it! I'll definitely spread the word.

Thanks for sharing your story and creating this great site!

Hey Mike & JB, totally love how you guys started. I think the two of you have done an awesome job (I know I've told you this before, but I must tell you both again).

Anyway, everyone who's ever played boggle needs to go and check out this site! Once you do, you won't regret it!

As Leapfrog has mentioned in her blog, the site is new, they are open for suggestions & best of all there are no lags, delays or any other site problems.

You guys rock!

Thanks for the kind words everyone, and glad you like it! Mike and I say this all the time, but its pretty cool seeing people playing and enjoying something we made!

I do have to add some editorial comments though...I never told Mike I could "do anything"! I told him I could make a website pretty easily but honestly, even Mike could do that if he quit talking long enough to learn how! I wasn't sure if I could make a game that worked very well, but it turns out it was easier than I thought! Now, keeping up with all the suggestions is going to be the real challenge! Seriously though, keep them coming...most of them are pretty good! The rest of the story is pretty accurate though!

I just wanted you guys to know that I think it is great how you take our suggestions and make them a reality. JB I think you did a great job with the time stamp for the players chat.

Mike, I also have to say kudos to you, for the bartender. Now I never want to leave wordrampage!

Keep up the great work guys.
