Leap reports that during the recent hurricane, CHR's brother had taken ill and is still in the hospital. Both Leap and Crosseyed asked that everyone keep CHR's brother in your prayers and they wrote the following. If anyone from Wordrampage.com would like to comment, I'm sure CHR would appreciate it.
From Leap (MaryAnn)
Chr,
Just wanted to let you know that I was very sorry to hear about your brother. I'm keeping him in my thoughts and prayers in hopes that he will recover soon and can come home from the hospital quickly.
I also have been thinking of you with the hurricaine coming through there and I hope no one in your family or you yourself sustained much damage. They're such terrible things and to come around the same time as your brother's problems.
I'm sorry I've been missing you when you've been here, but please always know we're your friends and are all thinking of you.
*hugs*
MaryAnn
From CROSSEYED

Through Wordrampage many of us have become close and have formed an extended chain of friends from all over the world.
Our online friendships are warm and we all look out for one another, with no thought of creed colour or race.
I want you to know that at this time you are in my thoughts and prayers.
I pray that your brother makes a speedy recovery and your heart is filled with the warmth of our friendship and our prayers.
We are here if you should need an ear
We are never far away
May peace and love surround you
With the dawning of the day
Just come on line my Rampette friend
relax your friends are there
And know that we pray for you
and we sincerely care.
With Warm Hugs
CROSSEYED

Chr,
I've been thinking of you and all you're going through. I will continue to pray for your brother's full recovery, for strength and peace for you and your whole family and for his daughter.
When you get a chance, keep us posted but we understand if we don't see you as much.
FAITH
Chr,
You and your family are in my heart and prayers and I hope for a full recovery for your brother. Please keep us updated and remember you have many friends around the globe thinking about you.
Marla
Chr,
I know I've told you this before, but I wanted to make it official with this post. I have been and continue to pray for your brother as well as you and your extended family. I was so happy to hear that he has now been able to come home. He has a long journey ahead of him, but I pray he will have a full and complete recovery.
I'm glad that your family did not sustain direct damage from the hurricane, but I know your heart must be breaking for your fellow countrymen who did not fare as well. Please know that we are thinking of them also.
I hope you find some comfort in knowing that you are in our thoughts and prayers during these trying times. ((chr))
Janet
Leap, Crosseyed, Marla, Faith, Janet, and all my "virtual family", I really appreciate all the prayers and love and good wishes expressed with regard to the challenges I am facing. The kind words of encouragement just made me feel so overwhelmed with the wonderful realization and CONFIRMATION that we are all one in the world, and that people of "like minds" are always drawn to each other.
I am happy to report that my brother WALKED out of the hospital on friday evening. He is staing with me, and I will continue to shower him with the love and care that is needed at this time. I know that God does work in very very mysterious ways...he prepares the way for us without us being aware of it!! Just imagine; I am on my three months study and travel leave, and should have left for the UK on Sat August 30. Then the hurricane saga....which literally allowed me to change my travel plans without paying a penalty. I was also able to get a refund on the study course I was going on. And most importantly, I was here to "hold the fort" as my sister was away when this all happened, and then got dealyed into getting back home because of the hurricane.
I still have to go on a study course, but now I can at least spend more time with my brother before going off later this month ....just for a week, and then again later in November for another week.
God is good All the time.
My brother is doing well, he has a good appetite, is moving around (still a little shaky, but does not need a walking stick!) and is able to feed himself, take a shower by himself etc. We have started physiotherapy at home, as I have some equipment here, and my son takes him through the paces. He now has to have speech therapy. He actually said "Good morning" yesterday, and asked "what time is it?" So I know that his speech will come back fully.
He played chess and pictionary with his daughter saturday night and scrabble with her at a family get-together yesterday.
He gets frustrated because he cannot express himself through speech, but I have faith in knowing and confirming that he will make a full recovery.
Prayer does work and I want to thank everyone for contributing to yet another awesome miracle from our Father.
I love you all
CHR
